SUMMER RUN CLUB

From Wednesday, May 4, to Wednesday, October 5, Swift Endurance is hosting "summer" run club in preparation for the Royal Victoria 8K/Half/Marathon. You do not need to participate in this event to sign-up for run club, and you are more than welcome to join us closer to the actual summer. See below for further details as well as our 4 program levels.

RUN CLUB OPTIONS

Level 1 - Run Club Participant ($50)

Includes:

  • Access to all 20-21 summer run club workouts

Level 2 - Run Club Participant + Shirt ($90)

Includes:

  • Access to all 20-21 summer run club workouts 

  • A Swift Endurance performance top (valued at $45 + tax)

Level 3 - 8K/Half/Marathon Training Plan ($125)

Includes:

  • Access to all 20-21 summer run club workouts

  • A 23 week training plan for either an 8K, half marathon, or marathon.

  • Optional $25 add on: A Swift Endurance performance top (valued at $45 + tax)

Level 4 - Personalized 8K/Half/Marathon Training Plan ($200)

Includes:

  • Access to all 20-21 summer run club workouts

  • A 23 week personalized training plan with unlimited communication through text and e-mail. Plans will be adapted to reflect your training metrics and your feedback.

  • A Swift Endurance performance top (valued at $45 + tax)

THE SCHEDULE

We meet every Wednesday from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. following a rotating location schedule (see below). Workouts are led by Chris Swift-Fry, with options to suit all fitness levels. Beginner and experienced runners are all welcome!

Either August 24 or 31 will also be cancelled due to travel plans.

QUESTIONS/THOUGHTS YOU MAY HAVE

  1. What does a run club workout look like? We begin each workout with a group warm-up (light jogging, running drills and strides). Chris then provides us with a workout structured to meet all fitness levels. Timed based workouts are run at your own pace and distance based workouts will have multiple options. Runners will then complete a short cool-down jog/walk and stretch.

  2. I am fairly new to running and nervous that I will not be able to keep up. All workouts are structured so that runners remain in the same area (e.g. around the Claremont track or Panorama Rec. trail). We will have different speeds, but you will not be left behind.

  3. I am not sure I can make it to every session. Is that okay? Absolutely! $50 was chosen so that those who can only attend half of the runs are still paying a fantastic rate of $5/workout.
